WISS bundle – The Start of a Journey
The journey began in a rather unexpected manner—the day after Christmas 2023. My friend and I, still feeling the festive spirit (and a bit of the aftermath), met up to discuss some work. Little did we know, this meeting would mark the beginning of an exciting venture into Shopify app development.
As we wrapped up our work discussion, friend of mine shared his research on the Shopify app market. He believed there was untapped potential there and even showed me some app designs he’d been working on. This conversation sparked my interest, reminding me of a similar idea a former business partner had years ago, which never came to fruition.
Determined not to let this idea slip away again, I dived into his research and did some of my own. Despite our enthusiasm, we quickly realized we were missing a crucial piece of the puzzle—a developer.
Our search for a developer wasn’t as smooth as we’d hoped. We reached out to potential candidates but found no one as excited about the project as we were. That’s until we struck gold with my childhood friend and backend developer, who enthusiastically joined us during his ski vacation.
With our team now complete, we set ambitious goals to develop a solution that would enhance Shopify store sales and AOV. However, we soon recognized the importance of starting with a more manageable project to ensure our first foray into Shopify wasn’t our last.
This led to the creation of the WISS product bundle app, designed to solve the problems we’ve seen with existing apps—complex setup processes, poor UX, and inconvenient usability.
We’ve all experienced the frustration of purchasing an app, only to spend hours trying to figure out how to make it work for our site. Our mission with WISS is to eliminate that frustration, offering a solution that integrates seamlessly with Shopify, requires no coding, and can be set up in minutes.
